DIY Barn Block Class (1 of 3)

In Iowa and other states, “Barn Blocks,” painted panels representing patchwork quilt block designs, decorate barns, rural outbuildings, and garages in towns. In this three-session class, you’ll learn about American quilt block history, select a favorite block of your own, and learn special, no-fail techniques as you draft and paint your own 4’ x 4’ quilt block panel. It’s easy and fun!

Week 1: Design – Sunday, January 29th, 1:00 – 2:30pm

Week 2: Draft – Sunday, Feb 12th, 1:00 – 2:30pm

Week 3: Paint – Sunday, Feb 19th, 1:00 – 4:00pm

$20 class fee: Sign up as a couple, with a friend, or yourself. You will also need a 4’x4’ piece of plywood, paint, a brush, and some straight edge tools. Wait until after the first class to purchase!
