2024 Iowa Quilt Festival

Join us June 5-8, 2024 for the Iowa Quilt Festival. Wednesday June 5 through Friday June 7 we will host classes and lectures by Mary Kerr, Lori Triplett, Pati Fried and Tony Jacobson. Followed by The Airing of The Quilts on Saturday June 8th. Airing of the Quilts is a community wide event with quilt displays at churches, covered bridges, art center, the courthouse and more. Share Your Stash Sale

The Iowa Quilt Museum is excited to announce our upcoming “Share Your Stash” sale, and we’re reaching out to ask for your generous contributions of fabric, sewing tools, rulers, and more!

Event Details:

Date: November 9th
Time: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: New Bridge Church, 1305 W. Jefferson St, Winterset, IA

Our “Share Your Stash” sale is not just an opportunity to clear out your crafting supplies, but it’s a chance to support the Iowa Quilt Museum and bring joy to fellow quilters and crafters. By donating your surplus materials, you’ll be helping others create beautiful projects and keeping these items out of landfills.

We are looking for donations of:

Fabric (free of odor)
Gently used sewing notions and tools
Rulers and cutting mats in good condition
Threads, buttons, and zippers
Gently used patterns and books
And any other sewing or crafting supplies you no longer need!

Donations can be dropped off at the Iowa Quilt Museum at 68 E Court Ave by October 25 at 4 PM. If you can’t get materials by that date, please reach out and we’ll work with you as best as we can! Your generosity will make a significant difference, and we appreciate any contributions, big or small.

All proceeds from the “Share Your Stash” sale will go toward the Iowa Quilt Museum and our effort to preserve the quilting legacy.
