Iowa QuiltScape for August 9th, 2019

Nothing Compares to the Iowa State Fair!

Now through August 18th

It’s State Fair time here in Iowa which means that hundreds of exceptional quilts are on display on the second floor of the Varied Industries Building in the Fabrics & Threads area. It’s like a quilt show on steroids!

In addition to viewing a delightful array of quilts, there are a variety of learning opportunities during the course of the fair. Here is a link to the schedule of classes and demonstrations on the Iowa State Fair website.

Additionally, author, fabric designer, pattern designer and outside-of-the-box quilter, Patrick Lose, will also be teaching at the ISF this year. Patrick and members of his team will be teaching a variety of projects, all of which look like a ton of fun! You can find the full schedule at the Patrick Lose Studios website.

Now if you’re feeling sad that you’re going to miss meeting Patrick because you can’t make it to the fair this year, let us console you because he’s coming to Winterset before he heads for home!
